If you only single dose on your Baratza Vario, you can swap out your large stock hopper for our 3D printed low-profile, single dose hopper designed specifically for the Baratza grinders models (except Sette). If you also have issues with retention, then say farewell to it with our optional bellows that will help you achieve up to an incredible 0.0g to 0.2g retention on each grind*.
[Design Features]
My design philosophy revolves around simplicity and utmost effectiveness, both meticulously woven into the design of our Baratza single dose hopper and bellows.
Both Hopper Sizes:
- The single dose hopper replaces the original stock hopper while maintaining its tapered aesthetics.
- Simple installation, taking less than a minute and requiring no additional tools.
- Maintains the same interaction for adjusting entire grind size.
- Maintains the original range of grind size adjustment.
- Fits and works with the stock gasket seal above the burrs
- Optionally combo with our silicone bellows (which also perfectly fits the Niche Zero and Duo) for up to 0.0g to 0.2g* retention.
- Includes a 3D printed TPU gasket for extra bellows performance (On ESP, you can use stock gasket instead)
Compact Size:
- Approximately 40g capacity
- Built in anti-popcorn design reduces most popcorning (even better with bellows).
- Low profile design allows an approximate 7cm (2-3/4in) of clearance compared to the original full-sized stock hopper, and is even shorter than Baratza's single dose hopper.
XL Size:
- Approximately 55g capacity
- Bean buffer chamber of ~24g capacity which allows bellows to be placed back on hopper immediately after dosing
- No built-in anti-popcorn cover, as bellows acts as the anti-popcorn cover

The 3D printing "seam line" of the hopper is oriented at the back of the hopper specifically in the listings for the Forte and Vario. Although it will also fit on the conical grinders like Encore and Virtuoso, they will be at the front.
[*Disclaimer]
- The finest grind range may decrease bellows effectiveness due to restricted air flow. Adjust to a coarser range while pumping bellows and running grinder to fully clear retention.
- Grinding after changing grind size may still cause some retention
- Using darker roasts may cause more retention
- RDT method not recommended
- Achieve the best results with lighter roasted beans and at a consistent grind size setting.
- Does not include the grinder nor the stock hoppers in the photos

Works well, very fast international delivery
Great combo that I wish I would have moved to long ago on my old 10 y/o Vario. Although the Vario with the steel brewing burrs is a fantastic grinder the old school design and tall height isn't exactly counter space friendly. The single dosing hopper certainly helps a bit in that regard. The bellows work really well for me and help remove those annoying last 0.5g or so that always seems to be lurking inside. Love the product!
I was getting so tired of turning off the grinder, giving it a hard shake to loose the last beans, and turning it on again. This little single dose hopper not only makes the flow less violent first thing in the morning, but the bellows are a fun improvement. I was teetering on the edge of selling this Vario but now I love it again. Thank you Introvert!
I have a Vario W+(purchased 2024), grinding medium roast for pour over. The hopper feeds all beans and no beans popcorn out of the hopper(20g dose). When using the stock hopper for single dose, a few beans would always hang up on the bottom lip of the hopper. I would then have to brush them down, while grinding.
The bellows is a perfect fit and clears the grinder with two or three puffs. I was retaining .5 to 1.0 grams before using the bellows. I think the item description of 0 to 0.2 grams of retention using the bellows is accurate.
Referencing the photos on the website item page. My hopper is different, having the printing seam lining up with the index mark/narrow lug. Index mark aligns with where the shutoff knob/lever is on the stock hopper. The photo with the hopper filled with beans on a scale is weird. On a Vario, just plan on leaving the hopper installed.
