How INTROVERT Began

INTROVERT started as a small, personal experiment—just a one-day project for me (Andrew) to create my own WDT tool. At the time, I’d come across a few Reddit posts showcasing creative DIY versions of WDT tools—paperclips stuck in corks—and I’d just watched a popular coffee influencer’s video explaining the tool’s benefits. Convinced I needed one, I grabbed a paperclip and gave it a shot.

What started as a basic experiment with paperclips quickly evolved into something much more. After a few iterations, I designed a 3D-printed version with carefully placed holes for needles which I loved, and it hit me: "Why not share this with others?" That thought marked the beginning of something I never anticipated—what is now INTROVERT, which offers not just WDT tools but also accessories like bellows and hoppers for some of the most popular grinders on the market. In the future, I hope to make an entire ecosystem of coffee related products.

What INTROVERT Stands For

The name INTROVERT reflects more than just a personality trait—it’s a way of approaching my work. As someone who’s always been deeply introverted, I find comfort in quiet observation, thoughtful reflection, and careful attention to detail. That mindset shapes everything I create. My goal is to design products that are simple, effective, and enhance the user experience, leaving no detail overlooked.

A Mission to Improve Coffee Routines

As a coffee enthusiast, I’m always paying attention to opportunities to make the third-wave coffee experience better, and I’m also always open to hearing about the coffee challenges you face and will do my best to solve them. Whether it’s solving small frustrations or streamlining workflows, or stepping into the unexplored territories of the coffee world, INTROVERT’s core mission is about creating tools that help people enjoy their coffee routines more and with greater satisfaction.
