This stainless steel mesh screen can be placed on top of your tamped puck to help water distribution at the beginning of your shot. It may help and also keep things tidy by not letting coffee grounds back up into the shower screen when the shot is over. This mesh screen is non-magnetic, but it's easy to pop out by gently tapping the portafilter upside down.

- After shot, remove mesh screen and flush it with hot water with the grouphead side facing upwards so that the coffee grounds can be flushed out of the mesh rather than into it.
