WDT Tool Classic (Plastic) - Configurable Layout With Holder
Here’s a minimalistic customizable WDT tool to help you enhance your daily espresso ritual by distributing and declumping and maximizing extraction. The Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) applied to the coffee grounds in a espresso basket and can greatly reduce chances of channeling, ultimately resulting in better taste.
[What is WDT for]
WDT Tool (Weiss Distribution Technique) is used for distributing and declumping coffee grinds in an espresso portafilter so that water can flow through more evenly. For an in-depth guide on WDT Tools, read here.
[What’s unique about this WDT tool]
The needles are parallel instead of fanning out, so they stay equidistant and comb the same way at any depth of the portafilter. The larger diameter body allows for needles to be spaced out more, which will decrease the likelihood of trapping and carrying a large chunk of coffee grinds in between the needles as you sweep around.
The 3D printed WDT body is made of PLA plastic and comes in two halves: the top half screws into the bottom half. The bottom half has 3 preset layouts for the needles: Small triangle, large triangle, and pentagon, plus a center hole, for a total of 11 holes. Needles can be easily loaded/unloaded to your liking at any time.
