For Macap Leo 55 single dosers, switch your stock hopper to our 3D printed custom low-profile single-dose hopper. Say goodbye to retention issues with our optional bellows, which allows you to blow out those stubborn grounds.

For a bellows design that fits with the stock hopper, check out this listing.

[Design Features]

Our design philosophy revolves around simplicity and utmost effectiveness, both meticulously woven into the design of our Macap Leo 55 single dose hopper and bellows.

  • The single dose hopper replaces the original stock hopper while maintaining its chiseled aesthetics.
  • Low profile design allows increased clearance compared to the original full-sized stock hopper, allowing your grinder to fit in more places.
  • Has a built in bean buffer chamber that holds ~20g of beans, enabling you to do cold starts with the bellows fully seated in the hopper which acts as an anti-popcorn device.
  • Maximized funnel surface area to make it easy to pour in beans. Slope is steep enough to support the angled base mod
  • Simple installation, taking less than a minute and requiring no additional tools.
  • Performs best with our silicone bellows (which also perfectly fits the Niche Zero and Duo) for lower retention*.
  • Maintains the same interaction for adjusting entire grind size.
  • Maintains the original range of grind size adjustment.
  • Built in anti-popcorn design reduces most popcorning (even better with bellows).
  • Designed for 20g doses, approx. 40g full capacity
  • Smaller diameter lower neck that matches the grinder hole so no beans get stuck on the ledge

[Compatibility]

  • Macap Leo 55
  • (Optional silicone bellows is 100% cross-compatible with Niche Zero and Duo, and our Encore Single Dose Hopper)

[*Disclaimer]

  • Grinding after changing grind size or using darker roasts/oilier beans may still cause some retention.
  • Achieve the best results with lighter roasted beans and at a consistent grind size setting.
  • Listing does not include the grinder nor the stock hoppers in the photos
  • Grinding at the finest setting may have increased retention unless adjusted to coarser when pumping bellows

Nice aesthetics, works well.

I was super stoked to find that a product like this exists that allows me to upgrade my Macap Leo 55 grinder instead of having to sell it to buy a single dose grinder. This is a welcome addition for anyone trying to streamline their workflow, reduce waste and minimize retention. The funnel and bellow combo looks smart (see photo), and it’s much easier to work with than a full hopper.

Hey Paul,

Thanks for writing your review and I'm really sorry that it's not working ideally for you. I strive to make your experience with the product as good as possible, so now that you've let me know the issues you're having, I would love to refine the design if you're willing to give it another try. Out of the times I've sold this hopper and bellows combo, this is the first time I've heard about the issue with the gap.

For the main issue with the gap between the funnel and grinder, would you be able to show me photos of the gap and beans getting stuck in there? I'll do my best to rectify that situation, and I can send you a new version free of charge once I have enough information to make the design refinement.

As for the bellows design, I've tried my best to show on the website how the bellows looks on and off the hopper. I have also stated in the description that it's meant to be a low profile design for saving space. With that in mind, and with the bellows being a 'closed-top' design rather than a tubular shape with a lid, the bellows would have to be something you'd remove and put back on for each use.

Regarding the actual usage of the bellows, I think you may have rather understood the opposite of what I provided in the instructions. I've written that 'Gentle sharp taps with your fingertips can expel more grounds than just pushing the bellows down'. You may refer to the page again to confirm that's what I've written.

I haven't received any contact from you prior to seeing this review, so I'm replying to your review as well as sending you an email with the same message. Please let me know via email additional information about the gap issue you're having, by emailing info@introvertmakes.com

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best,
Andrew
